Ready for the weekend

Wow...I hope this weather keeps up! Its georgous outside, which makes working really hard!

Speaking of working...I got bad news yesterday. Ok, maybe its more annoying and irratating that bad, but still. I was to start my new position after the holiday weekend, on Tuesday...but that has been pushed back now, until the 17th of September. Grrr.
So I'm still on the phones taking orders and we all know how much I love that (ok, I'm being sarcastic). Here I was doing the " I don't have to take calls anymore" dance all week long....and now I have to put my jiggy away for another couple of weeks.

Tim is also busy going to work early, staying late and putting in extra hours on the weekends, trying to keep up and keep sane with the projects that are underway for him. He is looking forward to a business trip for a Security Confress in Vegas the end of September. I won't be going this trip like I had hoped, but hopefully things will slow down to a semi-normal pace again after he gets home.

We are definately ready for the weekend!

Beautiful weekend

What beautiful weather we ended up with this weekend! Couldn't ask for much more!

Saturday morning, Becca and I woke up to find Tim already up and away to work for a couple hours. After eating breakfast and playing inside until we thought the neighborhood was awake, we took a walk up and down the block, Becca pushing her dolly in her stroller for about 30 minutes! She enjoyed spending the time outside, walking her dolly and waving to the cars as they passed us. She's so friendly! We ended our playtime outside by getting filthy dirty in the sandbox. She ate her first, second and attempted a third taste of sand (shaking my head).
Crazy girl. She definitely doesn't mind getting dirty!

After a bath, Tim came home to eat lunch and take a nap with Becca, and I spent some time away from the house, shopping with my Mom. We both enjoyed the time away together, even if it was just for a couple of hours. I got home just in time for a quick dinner with Becca and the two of us went off to church and a bonfire at Gma Deb's and Gpa Bob's afterwards, while Tim went to a bachelor party for our friend Chris.

What a nice day! Today, after all 3 of us slept in, I ran some errands and we spent the afternoon at Grandpa Steve and Grandma Paula's house. It was nice to spend time with them out on the deck, and Paula made a wonderful meatball supper. Becca LOVED the meatballs and green beans, and a desert of bday cake and ice cream for Tim's Aunt Charita. She just couldn't get enough and kept asking for "mo" (more)!

Word is, my Mom now has the flu that Dad and I had last week. So Becca will hopefully be allowed to attend daycare tomorrow! I can't believe we've already experienced the flu this early in the season. Lets hope we don't get a second round of it!

Just one of the many faces of our Becca! Too sweet to not share. She loves her spaghetti!

Enough rain already!

Enough rain already! They are saying over 8 inches of rain this month. I'm just thankful we're not flooding like many others in the midwest. We're hoping for dry weather and cool temps this weekend.

I don't mind the cooler temps, but I'm over the rain. Becca seems to be as well. Two nights ago durring a break in the clouds, we went out in our barefeet to walk up the block for some fresh air, and find some puddles. Instead, it began to rain again as soon as we walked onto the deck! We stayed out long enough to feed the 1 remaining fish in the pond (raccoons have found us), and headed back in with a sigh from Momma, and a broken hearted cry from Becca, who wanted so bad to stay outside. But a game of chase thru the living room with Daddy and some applesauce mended that brokenheart!

Silliness

Good morning! Well, so far so good. Becca and Tim are still not showing signs of getting sick from me now. I think I'm back to normal, or as normal as I can be!
Becca has been extremely vocal the last two days, trying to repeat everything! How funny it can be. And thanks to Daddy...she can now do a pretty good Tarzan impression for you. Those two get pretty silly together.
I heard that Xavier and Wendy both got off to their first day of Kindergarden without tears! Yea! I'm so excited for Xavier. I can't believe he's ready for school already! He's such a social kid...he'll be the one voted most likely to have the most friends.
Ok, short post. I hear Becca has woke up and is now singing to her Bunny and calling for Maggie. ( I see how I rate).

I'll give it a try!

Ok, so we are going to give this a shot.
I've been inspired and advised by many that this is not only fun to do and a great way to keep up with friends and family that live out of town or state, but that its also simple. So we'll see.

Today is my first attempt, while on the mend from the flu and though I'm not 100%, so far, I've been suprised with how easy the set up has been.

I'll try to keep posted updates on Becca, and pictures of course. Everyday there is something new and amazing that she does. At 17 months, we can't believe how much she's grown, (ok...so really, not that much lately) how fast its gone, and how she continues melt our hearts.

For instance, yesterday, I woke up with the flu. Not feeling so hot, mom calls me at 6am to tell me that my dad also has the flu and that I shouldn't bring Becca over for the day as she usually goes on Mondays and Fridays. So here I am, so sick, Tim at work with a huge project getting under way, that he cannot leave behind. Wendy had a school meeting that she had to go to, and Daycare couldn't take her. So I was stuck at home with Becca, happy and wanting to play, and I could barely stand to open my eyes, for fear of seeing the room spin. She was a perfect little angel. She played quietly, with little need for my interaction. In fact, we took 4 1/2 hours worth of naps yesterday. Ok, so I took 4 1/2 hours worth of naps yesterday, and when she wasn't sleeping, and I needed to, she played and sang to herself in her crib, reading books and playing with her glow worm and her bunny. The door open from hers to ours was open, and she could see me laying there..I often heard her blowing kisses. What a sweet girl.

Well, that was it. My first post. Pretty easy....I guess we'll see what happens when I hit this save button. *eek*
